Meet the Staff
Teresa Speakman, Operations Manager
Teresa first heard of Compassionate Communication while studying various philosophies of Compassion, and pursuit of personal healing. In 2013 she earned her M.A. in Organizational Communication with a special interest in Compassionate Communication in the workplace at Ohio University, where she teaches Public Speaking and Human Communication.
Teresa is a candidate for certification with The Center for Nonviolent Communication. Teresa is also passionate about sharing NVC with families, as she is a mother of six, grandmother of 3, and is a graduate of the Parent Peer Leadership Program.
Susanna Warren, Program & Outreach Director
Susanna Warren is a Certified Trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication, an international organization founded by international peacemaker, Marshall Rosenberg. She has a B.A. in Organizational Communication and a minor in Organizational Leadership and Executive Coaching, and is a business entrepreneur who has owned and managed two businesses for 23 years.
She has traveled the globe sharing Compassionate Communication in countries such as Vietnam, Peru, Bali, Greece, India, Turkey and Spain. She provides coaching and training for individuals, families, groups and organizations in Central Ohio and beyond.
Pat De Silva, Logistics Coordinator
Pat De Silva was drawn to Compassionate Communication after becoming a grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters and finding her old parenting style painful and unfulfilling. Since learning about NVC, she has embraced its principles and longs to share the deep gifts of connection she has experienced. She is currently a candidate for Certified Trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication.
Prior to learning about NVC she was a hospital RN and educator for 31 years predominately in the ICU. Pat lives in Canal Winchester, Ohio with her husband and volunteers at Compassionate Communication Center of Ohio.
